The Iowa Professional Fire Fighters (IOPFF) represents the collective voice of professional fire fighters and EMS personnel across the State of Iowa. Our association is made up of over 30 local unions with more than 1,500 dedicated members, all committed to protecting lives, property, and the communities we proudly serve.
Founded on the principles of unity, professionalism, and service, the IOPFF exists to foster and encourage the highest degree of skill and efficiency among Iowa’s fire fighters and emergency medical professionals. We believe that continuous training, shared knowledge, and strong collaboration are essential to meeting the evolving challenges of emergency response.
Beyond operational excellence, the IOPFF works to cultivate friendship and solidarity among members, strengthening the bonds that make our profession resilient and effective. We actively encourage all professional fire fighters and EMS personnel in Iowa to affiliate with our organization and take part in a unified effort to advance our shared mission.

We are dedicated to promoting, protecting, and supporting favorable legislation and policies that enhance workplace safety, professional standards, fair labor practices, and the overall well-being of fire fighters and EMS personnel.
